So, I bought the book Kanji in Context.  Being that I already know the grammar I need, I am planning to use it as a continuation of my Kanji studies in order to learn the readings and usage of all the jouyou kanji.  I also think it'll up my vocab a ton.  I've been putting it into SRS on my own but, alas, I'm as lazy as I ever was and I don't really enjoy typing it all in.  I was wondering if anyone has a deck/SRS file with the Kanji in Context sentences, or knows where I can find one?

Kanji Odyssey is a great resource but the grammar will probably be too hard for someone who has just finished RtK1. If you want to go the cheap way (free way), www.guidetojapanese.com is probably your best bet. Example sentences for basic to intermediate Japanese. After you've finished that site, you can start mining Kanji Odyssey or even real manga and maybe books.

I personally love the example sentences in Kanji in Context, but it assumes you know a little bit better than JLPT 3 grammar.  So, I don't think it's a particularly good idea for someone who hasn't studied grammar for at least a year (in my case about 4 years, going through the standard I-took-Japanese-in-college way of learning).

Thanks. Would it be best to read Heisig's Learning the Kana before starting guidetojapanese.com? I'm not sure how good the kana section is on guidetojapanese.com.

Yeah, sure. Personally I knew kana way before starting with RtK so... I just learned it by writing tons of kana every day, using thejapanesepage.com hiragana section.
