I think there was another thread about this.  But, Serge, I'm anxious to hear about it (that goes for you to Yorkii).  I really want to try but I'm a bit intimidated.  However, I think it would be a great way to practice my reading and writing.
Anyone, got any thoughts, I'm all ears.
Thanks:)

Yorkii- saw your reply to the other post.  Thanks!!

It's not intimidating, really. If your japanese isn't very good, you can just browse around and read the posts in one of the japanese<->english communities like I do. There are a few big communities for this around, and you don't have to be invited or know anyone to join these once you're on mixi. You could join one and practice your writing by doing a post in japanese whenever you feel like it. Most of the japanese people have a funny english anyway and won't mind reading some funny japanese wink. It's also a good place to ask questions regarding the language, since there are so many native.

Just email me if you'd like an invite or a link to the community I was talking about (this also applies to everyone).

Anyone have a Mixi invite? I'd like to start practicing Japanese there. Thanks!

You can PM me for a mixi invite. Just send your e-mail address. It's fairly good practice. I use it mostly for keeping a Japanese blog.

And don't let yourself get intimidated by a website. It's just like MySpace and you can stay as anonymous as you want.

Done.

Just read yorkii's entry about his trip to Disneyland. Good stuff.

Has anyone set up an RevTK group on Mixi yet?

ah, I don't think there is a RevTK group yet. Since you brought it up synewave, how about getting it under way?

Sure thing.

I'm going to have to get motivated and actually start keeping a diary!

EDIT: Just waiting to hear from Fabrice if it's okay to call the group 漢字コーヒー

Sorry to resurrect an old topic but just to let people know I'm giving out invites.

I've only just started posting on mixi...in English, silly I know but it's mostly just for me to keep a progress log without having to write it down, I feel looking over old progress logs from my old blog is highly motivating so I guess it's time to start doing it in a Japanese environment.
