i have it on PS3... if you have the PS3's language set to Japanese from the main menu of the PS3 (not the game's) it puts the entire game in Japanese, not only the voices but the text and the subtitles in Japanese as well... it's pretty frickin' awesome wink

Just beware, some games don't like it if the system language isn't what they're expecting. My copy of Enchant Arms would freeze up all the time until I switched the OS language to Japanese.

Yes, the 360 controller is teh bleh. I thought playing as characters like Guile would be easier because you move the thumb pad less less. I was wrong. LOL.

this game is the shit! I was up pretty late last night playing it.  Anybody think Seth is more annoying final boss than M. Bison or is it just me.  That guy is a pain in the butt!

It seems he was specially designed to turn every strategy you've learned in every Street Fighter game against you. He teleports when you try get up with a super or ultra. He grabs you when you get up and don't attack. You try to throw him he does a shoryuken. You have a character that has to hold a direction, he teleports behind you to screw the move up. When all else fails he literally spams the hell out of you with sonic booms. Zangief and Sagat seem like the only characters that can beat him without having to retry 50 times (cuz they are the least balanced). I'd rather fight Gil (SF3) tens times over than deal with that guy for one stinking round.

Unless I'm unlocking characters I usually play on the hardest level, so you can image the frustration that brews. LOL.

I've been playing on XBL for the last couple of days and I've only lost two matches (both because I was screwing around). I probably need more points to get more of a challenge, but working through all these matches is proving to be boring.

I managed to complete the hard trials with Fei long, and go through a few with the other characters. Yeah, they are ridurculous. I dare you to try it with C. Viper *cold chill flows down spine*

The only time a game is too serious is when you no longer play it for fun. I've been playing Street Fighter since I was like 9 so I can learn the characters pretty quicky, yet, for the life of me, I can't figure out C. Viper. I've read that you need an arcade stick to play as her. それは無理です.

But, yeah... Fei Long and Vega (claw) are my favorites.

Yeah lately i have still been stuck trying to finish off ryu's hard trial mode combos lol.
After that I want to start unlocking characters.
Hey have you gotten the extra costumes? It sucks that you have to pay for them...i bit the bullet and payed for the ryu and ken pack though...ryu's extra outfit is so bad a$$!

The only people that say you need the damn stick are the people who shed the money on one..dont listen to them.  It is easier to pull the moves off with but you dont NEED a stick. The more I play this game more addicted I am getting, it is so close to the feel of Super Street Fighter 2.  Have you seen any of ダイゴ's videos on youtube?  That guy is amazing.  He has this Shouryuken into Focus Dash Cancel into Ultra Combo...I cant pull it off for the life of me..and that just so happens to be the combo I am stuck on in trial mode.. Any pointers for pulling off Ryu's ultra? (and yes i was smart enough to map x3 punch to one button)

Yeah, those are probably the same people who single-handedly make profit for Capcom at the arcades, lol. I'm not good with a stick anyway. I've had few opportunities to use a stick and the few times I did they were half broken. cool

On the challenge mode... I would just recommend practicing focus/dashing over and over. Do it until it becomes second nature. Then you'll be able to do whatever move you want after. One thing I did with Fei Long was Fierce Punch -> Burning Kick (rekka something) -> focus cancel -> dash.... over and over.

Once I got that down. I just did the entire combo whether it connected or not. I found that if I waited for hit confirmation on combos that require perfect timing, as opposed to feeling, I just missed the opportunity to finish the combo when it came up. I call it plowing. Even if the dummy (dan) starts blocking keep doing the combo. Otherwise you'll end up in a situation where you keep missing the very last hit.

Also, looking away from the screen from time to time helps to. Try to do the combo with your eyes closed, lol. It's sounds silly, but it I do it. I try go by sound alone. If nothing, it helps rid you of the need for visual confirmation. It's either about feeling or timing.

It took me about 4 hours total, with a break in between, to do Fei Long entire hard trial. Then I went through it again finished in under 30 minutes. I also use a 3 punch button. There's no way in hell I would even consider doing 3 punches on an Xbox controller, lol.

*youtubes ダイゴ*

Guys got skillz.

For ryu, I guess try Fierce Punch (or strong punch... I'm more a ken guy wink) -> Dragon Punch -> focus dash over and over. Make sure to jump over the dummy and practice on the other side as well.

If you're just having trouble doing his ultra alone I would recommend doing the Hadoken input over and over but not pressing punch. Then input the ultra command slowly. Repeat on both sides. Even the best (excluding robots who have honed their skill playing SFA/SFEX nonstop for the last 10 years) have trouble inputing the qcfx2 motion... sometimes.

If you haven't been hammering at SF for last few years the best advice I could give to you is to give it time and take breaks every few minutes (to let things soak). I wonder if anki works for Street Fighter.

Edit: Damn this post didn't seem that long when I was typing it.
