Hi everyone,
I'm looking to get a device small enough that I can use my Anki RTK decks while standing upright (i.e. while walking or when standing on the subway). Currently, I'm leaning towards the iPod Touch.
I don't want a cellphone, so that rules out the iPhone and Windows Mobile. Plus, I don't want anything that comes preloaded with Microsoft software.
I'm looking to keep the purchase under $300 (iPod Touch is ~$250 here in Canada).
Thanks in advance.

So to clarify, what you really want is a mobile device that can run Anki without an internet connection, isn't a phone, doesn't have Windows Mobile/CE or any other Microsoft software, and is cheap?

asus eee 701 netbook? Maybe not mobile enough...
Yeah, not really mobile enough to use while walking. ;-)

It's OK to have an Internet connection, I just don't need a cellphone. If I need to go online, I'll connect to the university wifi network.
But other than that, yes, that's basically the kind of device I'm looking for.
I use the iPod touch. Just make sure that you're always within range of wireless
Thanks, that's probably what I'll end up getting.
