I don't know how many times I saw kanji tatoos on people that made no sense.  "What?  You have 'a horse lacking power chooses to mochi that car's folding fan'!?" 

I myself have 正宗（まさ・むね） because I'm a huge Final Fantasy otaku and love the sword

And the 正宗 are some of the most famous swords(katanas, whatever) in Japanese history.
