No Script Firefox Addon kills IME Language Bar

Firstly, I highly recommend the No Script FF addon - allows active content (eg Javascript, Java etc) on trusted sites as maintained by the user and protects against XSS/clickjacking, also an ideal combination with the Adblock Plus addon:

One caveat (at least running Win XP) is that the set options seem to block the IME Language options bar ie you can't select or enter IME content while the app/FF is running in the generic full lockdown mode. This affects eg Anki and Messenger text not to mention text input into the browser window (you can type Romaji but not IME Japanese text).

Conversely, if you do allow content on sites in FF using the app the IME bar does work in full mode.

I'm guessing that No Script is blocking all associated java applets in generic mode therefore the IME applet is locked out. Btw there may be a setting in No Script to allow IME/associated Java applets under the options window - does anyone know what these are?

Not a problem here. I'm not tech-savvy and don't recall adjusting any settings, but my IME works fine running xp, ff, noscript and adblock. (I imagine you're already aware that you can allow specific scripts on a site while continuing to block the rest.)

Sorry for late reply - travelling around Japan at the moment.

Curious that your IME works ok with XP and Noscript on default settings - I have to >Allow All in NS to let IME work on a FF tab or entering Hiragana into Anki at the same time.

Your last point is really my question - there must be a setting in NScript that lets IME/associated java applets but I don't know what it is! If yours is working ok in full script lockdown though maybe it's the FF version, the addon version, some add-on incompatibility etc. Will tinker a bit when I'm back in Tokyo.
