Okay, I'm pretty new to RtK. Apologies of there's somewhere else this should be, this is my first post here.

This site is awesome, and so far this method has been great, save for a gripe with the kanji "big" as a primitive.

In the book, the kanji for "untensil" 器 comes up without a drop (which just so happens to make our St. Bernard a plain dog). I assumed it didn't have a drop as I didn't know any better, and after learning it as it was in the book, I was pretty confused when I saw the real version on this site while studying.

This was mirrored in the kanji for "stinking" 臭 directly after, but not for "strange" 奇.

Although it doesn't really appear to be hugely significant, I can't say for sure as I'm so early on in my studies.

Should I replace the "St. Bernard" with "dog" in my stories for these two kanji? Is this repeated?

Also, are there many other occasions where the book is inconsistent with the actual kanji (for instance the "drops" over "resemblance" 肖 being the wrong way around in the book, even though it goes by Heisig's rule "the last two strokes turning inwards when over a vertical line"?)?

Advice would be appreciated, and sorry again if there's somewhere else I missed where I should be asking this instead.
