Hey all,

I searched for someone who had already asked this to no avail so here goes..

I am already using Mnemosyne for my reviews as I found its system more effective and I am without internet access for most of my time at work.  I am an English teacher in a Japanese JHS and I'm encouraged to study Japanese in my free time, which is wonderful.

I still find this site really useful as a major repository of stories - for the most part I can make my own effectively, but some of them really give me trouble and it would be great to be able to reference the stories on this site *offline*.  I know this goes against the spirit of this site insofar as the site is meant to be a community of people sharing and rating the stories in an interactive manner, and I apologize for making this request, but does anyone have an idea of how this would / would not be possible?  I usually pick one of the most popular stories, so say a database of the top 5 stories for each kanji, a kind of "freeze frame" of the story database.

Any help is appreciated... thank you.

I wholeheartedly agree.

As I type this I'm at a Japanese JHS that doesn't have internet in the teachers' room, so I end up using the computer lab as a study area, which really isn't too terribly convenient (it's often unavailable for various reasons).

For better or for worse, this site has become an integral part of me studying Heisig, and it would be great to have an offline version somehow.

According to this, it is possible to use most sites offline with Google Gears and Greasemonkey.  I don't know if it would be possible to apply that here, though. If possible, that would be an awesome addition to this site!
