Hi,
I have recently bought a whiteboard style thing and have decided to try and put some faint and thin permanent lines on as guidance for Kanji/Kana size.

Just wondering if in Japan when children learn there is a 'standard' measurement for these grids so that I can have an authentic sizing to pratice with.

Thanks.

I find my sentence handwriting looks best with plain ole college-ruled notebook paper.

Do you mean just normal lined paper, or graph type paper?

I have a cutsey Japanese school notebook, and I think that each larger grid square is 10mm x 10mm. Inside each larger grid square are 4 smaller squares that are 5mm squared.
