Yeah, I agree that no one would care if you took a couple of sentences from a copyrighted work.  So two from Doraemon, two from Densha Otoko, two from Norwegian Wood, and you could easily sustain such output if you lived in Japan.  Newspapers and magazines also could be mined.  As long as you kept your sources varied, you should be on fairly safe ground.
