Zarxrax, I just sent a membership request to the google sentences group link you provided but then noticed this post. So are you folks doing this via email then?

Instead of joining the google group, post the link to the master spreadsheet here. Then add persons to that as they provide proof of ownershi.  Granted, Fabrice may frown upon this as it tends to blow a thread up with many responses.

Oh, and a very important note: Make sure you have the Revised Edition of the book, which was published in 2003! The original was published in the 80's, and was written in romaji. I don't know what else is changed, but the books may differ significantly.

Aah! Thanks for the clarification. I have finished typing in Chapter 1 but have to reorganize based on this new format. Btw, p15 has more than one question （どうしたの、何話してたの、何かあったの） So how do I handle multiple questions - multiple answers format.

You know, there are a lot of phrases with の at the end of them. Which if I remember correctly is a very effeminate way to speak. Or is this a grammar thing?

Hmm, that's what I did at first but then moved them to the notes field for the sake of uniformity. Anyway, thanks for the heads up. Will modify them as soon I am done with Chapter 6. What I thought was that maybe we would be using the notes field for reviews as well since the context is understood only from the notes.

何言ってんの, for example.

の as a question word is more frequent in female speech, but it's not exclusive. Men sometimes use it in casual speech, since ですか sounds too polite and か can be too harsh. Follow the examples of other men on this one, to get a feel for it. There's no set rule.
