Before I stumbled across KanjiGymLight and then this website I was actually attempting to code my own flashcard system. I wasn't that familiar with programming (aside from the basics), but I was able to get the program to read randomly from a list of keywords. This took me about a day and a half to figure out alone.

As I was thinking up a way to have the program read kanji as well, I found kanjiGym. At first I wanted to slap myself in the face. I later began to hate the way kanjigym gave me so little control. So, I searched for alternate Kanji flashcard systems and found this site. I kept hearing about Anki, but was hesitant to use it. Now I wish I just jumped in.

So, how did you all come to find this place.

Someone told me to try the book remembering the kanji. I was googling around to check out what the book was about, and I found this.

Found the site via a post Synewave made on JLPT Study Forum, a forum notorious for being full of people of the "We don't think Heisig works" point of view.

I found out about Heisig and this site from "the Kanji Clinic's" invaluable articles, although I didn't know about this site until after passing the 1000th kanji midpoint.

My memory's fuzzy, but I think it was a rather circuitous route from The Japanese Page forums to AJATT (via link in some crazy guy's topic) to here (via link in some crazy guy's comment). Obviously, crazy ranting people appeal to my sense of rebellion and adventure.

I think it was a crazy post on jlpt study forum, someone saying how bad the method was. I was up to kanji #200something and when I found this place, I thought I'd hit the lottery or something. It was the happiest I'd been in a long time, it felt like I'd just been given a very expensive present. ^^

I found about RTK while hanging out on thejapanesepage forum, which i visited regularly before. I remember the thread was all about "learning the Kanji characters independently is just a waste of time compared with learning words". I saw most of people there just don't like the idea of this RTK and Heisig method thing. It hit my curiosity, and through googling I found out the truth about the book (which turn out to be otherwise wonderful!) and eventually i stumbled on this site while at it. If you happen to be TJP fanboys, no hard feeling , but you guys did make me convert into heisig follower.

I found it through some forum. I can't understand Khatzumoto saying there is no point in hanging around forums. Sure it wastes time, but it has also saved me an amazing amount of typing, see KO, UBJG and JFE.

I believe this site was put into a user review for the book on Amazon. Extremely helpful by the way! I probably would have given up on the book already without this wonderful site.

Found the site when looking for resources (i.e. a list of german keyword translations), by this time I was around frame 1700 and had a review system with paper flashcards, which I was rather proud of - nonetheless: the srs-approach on this site tops it hands down.

I bought RTK and several other books four or five years ago... made it through about lesson 3 and then just fell away. Recently, my interest in learning Japanese was re-sparked, and while browsing through some of my old bookmarks I found RevTK. I think it was an article in KanjiClinic, but then I found that many of the newer reviews at Amazon mention it also. Thanks to all who make RevTK what it is--brilliant!

I found this place by clicking the link on Khatzumoto's page when I first started reading the content on his site seriously. Needless to say it has been one of the most useful acts of random link clicking I've ever done.

I found it while looking for a pre-compiled list of kanji for use in my own (now discontinued) kanji review software project. I wasn't familiar with the concept of SRS:s back then, so it was a good thing I found this site. My own application wouldn't have been as good.

I tried to access this site from Kanji Clinic early last year. For some reason, it would not load on my ship's computer. Fortunately, last summer I tried the link again at Kanji Clinic and this site came up with no problem. I quickly discovered the full benefit of SRS, found out about AJATT, and promptly went to town on learning full press.

I discovered this site (when it was still very young) a few weeks after I finished RTK USING PAPER FLASHCARDS... Grrrrr!!!...... Imagine my frustration?..
