Hi all
I've been wanting to review and fill in the gaps in my kanji knowledge, since I can read alright, but have no idea how many kanji I can read or remember the meanings of. So I've decided to write a list of kanji, with example words focusing on on-yomi. The list goes in RTK1 order, but anytime there is a phonetic grouping(where RTK2 comes in), I take a detour to add the kanji with the same/similar on-yomi. For example, this is what the ordering looks like:
...
田
目
古
湖
故
吾
悟
語
冒
帽
...
But with an example word for each one. As you can see, it breaks the building block rules by showing 語 before 言 and so on. For now, I'm just grabbing whatever words I fancy from the dictionary, and avoiding any words I already know. Thus, for a common kanji I know very well like 少 I've chosen an less common word I don't know 希少(きしょう) instead of something common like 少々(しょうしょう). It's to keep myself from excluding easy kanji. My list currently has ~750 kanji on paper, but only about 200 words so far *sigh* because it's tiring.
Anyway, I'm probably appalling the people out there who only want to learn with sentences(although, sentences could be found), but maybe there's some people out there interested in my humble list, which I could type up
