I just accidentally passed a kanji when I realized after I already clicked the button that I actually got it wrong. So now it's in the third box (two reviews) when it should be in the fail pile. I'd like to be able to undo the repetition and mark it as failed.

I realize the obvious solution is to do repetitions more slowly, but I'm in the middle of 368 repetitions today (as somebody who has already been using Heisig a long time, I started with 1827 -- yes, 1827 -- cards about a week ago, so a lot of cards expire at once), so I'm not exactly inclined to take them more slowly right now.

I realize this function could be difficult program and I'm not the first to suggest it, so a more short-term solution for my particular case would be to allow me to move the card to the fail pile from the Study page. That shouldn't be hard to program. (I know that I'm not the first to suggest this either, but I'm just providing a reminder that this would be useful.)

Just wait for the card to expire again. If you still don't know it by that time then you'll just fail it normally. Maybe the trauma from this experience has drilled the kanji into your head and you'll pass it next time though smile

Just let SRS do its thing and don't worry about it.

In my case, that's not a big deal, no. If the interval is already a long time, though, it can be.

I just did it again. Surely it should be trivial enough to at least add a "fail" button to the Study page?

Many things seem trivial but when you add a feature without sufficient planning, it is very difficult to remove it later. I'm sorry I can't update the site at the moment, I can only do updates for critical issues because my local version doesn't even run after I started rewriting a lot of code.

I am waiting for a several-months break during which I will improve the SRS part of the site among other things. But I haven't announced this "officially" yet because I don't have any hard dates. I may start in August, and then there will be several weeks of more code shuffling before I can finally upload the new code base and start improving the site again.

Bump - any support for this feature yet? (just asking.)

Thanks!

Yes, the Flashcard Review MULTIPLE Undo feature is already implemented and working on my local version, and it will be published along with the rest of the refactored site.

The "online" refactored site date however keeps being pushed backward due to adding to the todo list things I didn't plan. I am going to implement a better voting/reporting system in the Study area, so instead of publishing the refactored site by the end of April it will most likely be published during May *fingers crossed*. The improved Study area is the heaviest change I have to do right now, after that it's smooth sailin'.

Sorry and thanks for your patience X_X

Edit: thanks Jarvik7

"pushed backward"

pushed forward means that you're going to release it sooner rather than later.

Oh, but it depends on where this is being pushed. Time moves forward. Pushing backward against time means that you will release it sooner rather than later.

I've never heard of what you're talking about Smackle tongue (the phrase pushing backward against time).

Yeah it's backwards of how it should be logically, but I can't think of any situation in English where the meaning would depend on context.
