Ok, I'm not really sure I understand what heisig is trying to say with this one. I looked up the kanji on edict, and there is just lists it as "again", and that seems to make some sense.

Heisig's decision to precede this with an "or" completely baffles me though. I just don't really understand what he's getting at with that. The little blurb he writes about "&" confuses me further.

Is it ok for me to just stick with the "again" part of this keyword? Or could someone explain exactly what Heisig means with this?

Changing the keyword to 'Again' wouldn't be a problem if it weren't for the fact that 'Again' appears as a keyword in #1815.

又 is the Kanji for また, i.e. また明日 (Again + Tomorrow --> 'see you tomorrow')  In addition to meaning 'Again', it can also mean 'Or/Nor', for example ゆうこさんは明日もまた来週も勉強しないでしょう (Yuko will not study tomorrow, nor will she study next week).

Yeah, I always associate 又 with "or".  Whenever I go to the ATM here, the robot lady's voice always tells me to insert my "bankbook OR card" (通帳 又は カード).

Good to know, thanks. I only knew the later/again meaning. This is so frequent and the character is so easy I don't bother trying to get the keyword correct. It's just... また!

Back to RtK, that primitive always meant "crotch" in my stories, or "buttocks".

又ね!
