So that we don't have to hit the "Enter" key to search for a specific keyword or frame number. That way, we could study while using a friend's Wii Browser, for instance.

I'm talking about this area:

Yeah, that would be good for browsing on a mobile phone.

Currently I have to navigate via my "detailed list" of kanji, which takes about 4 or 5 pages (counting reverse sorting), and that's best case where I want to jump to one after my last entered kanji.

Could you both give more detailed examples, for the Wii Browser and for the mobile device browser (both of which I am not familiar with) ?

The DS browser has a Submit button intended for forms that don't have an actual Submit button.  Does the Wii browser not have that, or does it just not work with this site?

They are just saying that in order to browse to a kanji, you have to type it in and then press the 'enter' key. All devices do not have an enter key, so it would be useful to have a 'submit' button that can be clicked on.

The Wii Browser only has a pointer. The only thing it can do is aim and "click" on objects; you can click in a text box to access an on-screen keypad, so that you may enter information. However, there's no "Enter" functionality; you have to actually click on an object to go to another page. If we simply add a button, it's not a problem.

You can enter the frame number in the url address bar by specifying the search (or framenum) parameter, e.g. http://kanji.koohii.com/study/index.php?search=49. To find out the frame number given the keyword, type it in the search box and look at the pop up list. For direct kanji look-up, you're screwed, unless you have a way to convert kanji to its escaped format. E.g. to look up 上, the address looks like this: http://kanji.koohii.com/study/index.php … =%E4%B8%8A

The search box is not embedded in a form and therefore a submit button wouldn't work. Why not let the arrow buttons (which are links actually, but a little Javascript can do wonders) act as browse button if the search box is non-empty? Feels intuitive since that's the first thing I tried before finding out (repeatedly) that it didn't work and that you are forced to use the Enter key.
