The reading section does not seem to be able to handle the authorized older variants of kanji for names.

For example, paste the following into the reading section:

悔(悔)
海(海)

The first kanji of each pair will change into the second kanji after submitting.

Ha... so.. apparently my computer *also* can't handle those, as I see only 2 kanji between all the 4 characters that you have posted. Whee!

Actually it looks like the forum can't handle the characters either tongue

Oh well, if you want to test then just pull some characters off wikipedia's jinmeiyo kanji's itaiji section.

I can see them just fine so I don't know if it's the forum.

You can see them, but do the two pairs of kanji look the same? The ones outside of the parenthesis should have 母 (はは) in it.

Not this same problem, but another bug in the reading section is that the names of the known kanji won't appear, only a little message that says "error on page".  It's just with IE, i think, because it worked with Firefox when I tried it.
