sorry if this has been asked and answered.  I have done a search and haven't found anything, so here goes.

How many actual kanji appear in RtK ed5?  The reason I ask is I have only been able to find a second hand ed3.  I am in Australia and every bookstore has told me it is now out of print and can't be purchased.   The Japan Books Austrlian import webpage also tells me the book is out of print.  Not sure why this is so as it is clearly imprint as you have all been talking about purchasing ed5! Maybe this is only for Australian distribution. 

Anyhow, I am wondering how much I am missing.  How many kanji appear in ed5?  I see on this site the the study section goes up to 3007 (!) in a very long Lesson 57.  Have these been added by site users or do these appear in ed5? Do people recommend I continue to try and source ed5 or stick to my ed3 and use this site as a sumplement?
