Hi folks,

Is anybody here in the Nagoya area? I'm doing some research on Heisig-based kanji learning for my Ph.D. thesis and might need some experimental subjects. Is anyone here in the Nagoya area who might be interested? There may be some small payment for participation (1000 yen or so).

Please respond by e-mail if interested and we'll work out details. Here's my e-mail address. nlin at spamarch.itc.nagoya-u.ac.jp Delete the word "spam" from the e-mail address above and replace "at" with the at-sign "@".

Thanks and keep on RTK'ing!

Wow, that sounds really interesting. Wish I lived closer to Nagoya. Will you promise to post a summary of your research results when you have them?

Doh. I was in the Nagoya area for a few weeks in October of last year while I was in Okazaki studying at Yamasa. Oh well, sorry I couldn't help you there.

He wants to dissect our brains!

Seriously though you should just offer to reimburse 交通費 or something. If someone isn't gonna do it out of interest then 1000円 probably won't entice them.

Or figure out a way to administer the test online...unless you're planning to strap us to an fMRI or an electroshock machine or something gory like that.

I'm in Shiga but can make it over to Nagoya no problem.  I'm in.
