I've recently posted that I started listening training after a long time focusing on reading and writing. I just happened to come across this video player the other day. It's great for studying in conjunction with subtitles. You can repeat a dialog with it's corresponding subtitle at any time. The subtitles also appear on the right of the screen as a script and you can click on a line and it takes you to the dialog. It seems to really work well. You can also display 2 different subtitles at the same time (ie Japanese & English). And there is an easy offset adder/subtracter if the subtitles don't sync with the video exactly. It's seems a great alternative to using sub2srs to learn if you don't need to srs the data. Best of all, it's free.
Are there any other players like this on the market? Maybe for android or ios? I have a windows 8 tablet (just an atom based one) so I'll probably try it on that.
