I would call that a kanji or Chinese character watch face; Japanese clocks and watches don't use kanji.

It's a Pebble text watch face.  They are available for many languages and the name describes the language.  There wouldn't be much point making a watch face to mimic a Seiko or a Casio and calling it Japanese.  It certainly wouldn't help with your kanji reading speed!

Modern watches use kanji for the weekday and historically clocks used kanji for the time.
