How does this idea sound?

I made a whole nice PDF of Nukemarine's Optimized Kore deck, which placed about 53 words per page. I'm planning to study a page a day tongue

Anyway, I was thinking to prestudy a page (about 53 words) than do the 53 words on the optimized core deck.

After that I put the 53 words on my separate recognition deck

Kanji --> kana and english meaning

At the same time this would be practicing production(kind of) and recognition no? If any of you guys have better ideas please share!

EDIT: Seems like the PDF I made isn't in perfect order, I guess I'll just pre study them off the browse feature

There's an easier way to do what you want to do, and it doesn't require two decks.

You can go "tools->manage note types" then find the type for core, should be called just "Japanese", and click on cards. After that, just create a card template for recognition by clicking the "+" and then copy pasting appropriate fields from the old template. It seems to require a complete resync of the database, so I don't want to test it out now, but I think it will create a field (probably with the same name as your card type) on each note where you just have to type "Y" or anything, and then you'll get two cards per note, one with production and one with recognition.

As for the pdf, I think its pretty easy to just learn them by failing them a few times and testing it out. I never bother with previewing new cards ahead of time. But eh, different strokes.
