Hi, I'm looking for interesting, not too difficult, periodicals to subscribe to in Japan.
I live so deep in the middle of nowhere that I have no access to a book store/ konbini to browse titles.
I am interested in general Japanese culture, travel, onsen, social justice, human rights, reading, news and current affairs (a weekly/monthly newspaper would be nice - daily is too often) and science. (I am not interested in fashion or sport)
They can be aimed at kids/teenagers or not-too-difficult adult titles.
Something like Hiragana Times minus the English and furigana would be ideal!
Any recommendations?

Haha, how far are you from the nearest book store/konbini?
I lived in a town with no train station, book store, or konbini, for a little while, but I went to civilization as frequently as I could. (I also, incidentally, had an outhouse, owned a lot of leftover farm equipment in my three farming sheds, etc.--life is weird sometimes) Take a vacation to civilization and go to a book store!
