Might have already been posted, might be old news but I just found it so I figured I'd share. Basically just an ebook site but they have a 立読 button so you can read about 50 pages for free then choose to buy if you want to (you can figure that out on your own).
The app is cool, software for PC/Mac is pretty lame but anyway, some people might be interested. You will have to sign up but they don't require credit card details.

Thanks- I'll look into this more at home.

Does this work with the iPad? Mine got angry when I tried to download something from the Japanese store ("this iPad only works with the U.S store"- or something like that).

Or do I just need to register a Japanese Account?

I'm in the US right now and reading the sample pages works, once you download the app you need to input your account details (email/password) before it will download. If you don't you'll get an error message. I haven't tried buying anything yet though and I only have Android so couldn't tell you if it works on iPad, however they advertise iPad so I imagine it'd be exactly the same.
