Hi all,
I really liked the Pimselur method but since I finished Level 3 of that method, there doesn't seem to be anything similar out there. Can anyone recommend anything?
If you don't know, the Pimsleur CDs basically just repeatedly tell you something to say in English and it gives you a few seconds to translate and say it out loud in Japanese. That's all I'm after really as I find this method solidifies key phrases and structures in my head.

The textbook Japanese The Spoken Language has drills, which aren't exactly the same, but are kind of similar.
Usually they're practicing grammar by following a pattern, using the vocabulary from the chapter as well. For example, in the beginning you might be practicing negating verbs, so you might get examples like this:
Tape says:
わかりますか?(Wakarimasu ka?)
You say:
いいえ、わかりません。 (Iie, wakrimasen.)
Tape says:
たべますか?(Tabemasu ka?)
You say:
いいえ、たべません。(Iie, tabemasen.)
The tapes are kind of expensive, but at least back in the day you could find all the audio online for free. There are also drills all the way up to a fairly high level, since the three books make up a three year university course (or three semesters, for intensive programs).
