Watching Japanese let's plays is a very fun way to immerse oneself with Japanese.

Do you guys have any favorite let's players on youtube or nico nico ?
I don't know how to search a user on nico nico so if you have a favorite please add here a link to their playlist.

I'm sure it will help lots of people here smile

It's videos of people who play through a game. 'Let's Play' is just the standard name used by many people to indicate the type of video.

It's simply someone playing a game whilst commenting on it.

Read about it here: http://dic.nicovideo.jp/a/%E5%AE%9F%E6% … 5%E7%94%BB

That reminds me of this, which is in English but is hilarious for any Half-Life fans.

You might wonder why you'd watch someone else play a game, but it can be as fun as TV series in my opinion. If the game is interesting, if the player is an entertaining commentator, and if you're watching it on NicoNico (special comment system), you've got visual, aural, and text based contexts, and it feels like you're watching it together with a community smile

A few まとめ lists

Particularly the Crash Bandicoot and Banjo & Kazooie series are great.

Check out 勇者のくせに生意気だ and みんなのリズム天国

This guy hasn't done a whole lot, and they're short, but they're all hilarious.

It seems that pretty much anything by these guys is fun to watch smile But the mario ones are good anyway.

This is tangentially related, but I love the Korean Pro StarCraft Brood War scene (well, used to love it, not much left of it, they moved on to Starcraft II).

I'm yet to find any Japanese commentaries though. Does anyone know of any? I'd love to watch them.
[edit] Never mind, I found a bunch on NicoNico. Only looked on youtube before.
