I'm kind of missing my girlfriend ことえり input on her German MacBook Pro. I could easily use Ctrl+Space to switch between DE/JP, without pressing another Alt+Tilde(~) like I have to do on my own Windows machine. Google IME suits me very well in all regards, except for this.

Does anyone know how to hack this? It's really annoying >_> If I use the normal "romaji" input in Japanese, I cannot type ß, ü, ö, ä which are essential to German..

I use shift-alt to switch between languages, but then, I have a US install of Windows. I don't know why that wouldn't be the same between all versions though (and since it's switching which language you're using, it should be language bar behavior, not IME behavior.)

Edit: Oh, yes, there it is. 'Text Services and Input Languages' dialogue is reachable by 'Settings...' from the language bar -> Advanced Key Settings ->  Between Input Languages -> Change Key Sequence

Nah, won't work here just checked it out. I can only change between DE/JP by using Alt+Shift. I really kind find anything on Google. Seemingly I'm the only getting annoyed by this constant switching >_>

I'm on Win7 Home btw. Just for this feature it's not worth going Mac all out of the sudden really.
