i'm curious what novels japanese middle and high school students are most frequently assigned in their curriculum. i have heard that murakami's Norwegian Wood is a common one. I figure that soseki and dazai are on there.
that being said, if anyone else wants to throw in the books from their own native countries that'd be interesting as well.
