Wow the add-on really does save some time. Also it might have been on here I read, but is using the kanji I learn in RTK in sentences a good idea? What I mean is, is it a good idea to make sentences with them right after learning them? Then putting them in anki.

I'd say no.  I tried to do something similar when I did RTK, and it really bogged me down.  There are so many ways a kanji can used that your workload will explode.

There are a lot of methods for studying Japanese, and some of them are quite effective.  But if you start combining methods, even the basics can consume hours of your day.

So I'd continue doing Assimil as you have been.  Any sentences that strike you as particularly important, you might want to input into Anki. But, if you're going to do RTK, take it easy on entering sentences into Anki, since the reviews can quickly balloon out of control.

My advice would be to either learn kanji as isolated characters (the RTK method advocated on this site), or in sentences (which I prefer), but not both.

A little bit random but I have started doing those sentences and if I remember the way some kanji look (電話番) and know that's phone number, is it an unreliable method? Because I don't know what each of them mean or how they sound. Hope that was clear.

Don't worry, you'll learn that after a while. Also, itçs not a huge problem, as all those kanji are very common, which means that you will see them quite often.

And isn't it 電話番号?
