Hope it's okay to ask here...

I'm looking for an ebook to read manga on.
I have a 6" sony prs-650  for english books right now and I love it...
But the screen is WAY too small for manga ( Japanese or English).
So I was wondering, if anyone has a 9-9.7" ebook and has tried manga's on there... Is it doable?

i'm not sure where to get an e-reader with a screen that size. I don't think tablets are ideal for this, but that's just me (I got my girlfriend a google nexus 7 and she didn't like it because it hurt her eyes. I thought i could use it to read manga or japanese novels or just play japanese games, but it hurt my eyes too. and the interface is designed to make it inconvenient to load media from outside the google play store though of course it's doable.)

most manga come in a roughly 6" format anyway, right? There is a good comparison of the image and PDF capability of the kobo glo and kindle paperwhite here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TPnwOpuZ_Q4 these e-readers don't display color, though.
maybe you could figure out a way to get one of the e-readers they put textbooks on in schools and put manga on that. i think some company in China has tried developing e-ink e-readers that display color for textbooks.

let us know if you find any answers. smile

edit: you could also check out the Kindle DX, but it's out of production and it doesn't use a touch screen so zooming might be cumbersome.

I couldn't find any suitable Japanese/English dictionary to use with my new Japanese Kindle Paperwhite so I went and created one myself and published it on Amazon.

If anyone is interested the ASBN for it is B00AKIUDAY

You can find it here:

www.amazon.co.jp/dp/B00AKIUDAY/
www.amazon.com/dp/B00AKIUDAY/

If it is not available in your country feel free to send me a private email/message and I will see if I can get it published in your country.
