I'll be done adding new kanji from RTKI into Anki in a few days so I'm pretty excited. I'm already comfortable with かな and know a handful of words and grammar concepts from Japanese Demystified which I've been reading along with Heisig's. I'm almost done with that book as well.

So, what are the most important threads describing the different strategies and methods people use/d to learn Japanese around here?. Also, can you link me with some popular threads about Japanese culture/language and what I should know to start using the forum.

よろしくね

Plenty of resources here - from zero to literature, news, and Japanese school subjects, some books about Japan too (in English):

Thank you, that link was bookmarked right away.

Well, if anyone is interested, I decided to start with the amazing dictionaries of Japanese grammar. I have been perusing the tomes online via Scribd and I am super excited at the thoroughness and length the authors go at explaining every grammar point. I'm to going to read them cover to cover and enhance my Anki deck to accommodate for all the grammar examples, however I will trim the sentences so as to focus only on the grammar points.

Divide and conquer baby.
