I am working on a kanji acrostic system for reading and writing kanji. I am asking for help from anyone who is interested in this idea. I don't have a lot of free time to work on this and I think that if there were a team of people(or individuals) working on this it probably could get done. There are a couple hundred done. Some are half done and some of the meanings are not consistent to the main source which is kanjiabc.net
This is part of my series(math/science/languages) of decks that uses acrostic methods to supplement spaced repetition systems. For details look at the attached pictures in the zip file.
For the ones that are complete it seems to work well for remembering the onyomi, translation, and writing kanji.
You will be able to write Kanji from memory by recalling the mnemonic sentence pieces. Every kanji(two or more strokes) will be broken down into pieces and these pieces will be used as retrieval cues.
EX: Susan studied the village's religious reverence for the local mountain
Red for the left or top, blue for the right or bottom, and underlined for the translation. For the translation, I sometimes used a different part of speech with the same word. ex: gentle---> gently
Lets say I have forgotten how to write this character. What I would do is recall as many mnemonic sentences as necessary to recall the parts.
山 top or left:
丨 no mnemonic for one stroke characters (wikipedia- link, jisho.org- line)
凵 mnemonic sentence for カン T2 うけばこ かんにょう receptacle, open box enclosure
|_ corner kanjiabc.net (defined by author of kanjiabc book) no mnemonic for one stroke characters
丨 no mnemonic for one stroke characters
一 no mnemonic for one stroke characters
丨 no mnemonic for one stroke characters
宗 right or bottom:
宀
丨 no mnemonic for one stroke characters
冖 mnemonic sentence for ベキ T2 わかんむり wa-shaped crown radical (kanjiabc.net) cover (two strokes) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Radical_14
丶 reversed drop (defined by me) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Radical_3
一 no mnemonic for one stroke characters
示
二 mnemonic sentence for ジ ふた ふた-つ ふたた-び [pn] おと つぐ にい は ふ ふたつ ふだ わ two
一 no mnemonic for one stroke characters
一 no mnemonic for one stroke characters
小 mnemonic sentence for ショウ ちい-さい こ- お- さ- [pn] いさら こう さざ しゃお ちいさ little, small
ハ animal legs (kanjiabc.net)
丨 no mnemonic for one stroke characters
The resources I used are:
kanjiabc.net (I used the book)
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Kangxi_radicals (kanjiabc fills in the gaps of the Kangxi radicals)
wwwjdic
jisho.org
chineseetymology.org
The proposed grading system is this(I haven't tested this yet):
condition for 1- could not recall the mnemonic sentence
condition for 2- could not recall radical retrieval cue keywords but recalled the mnemonic sentence
condition for 3- initially recalled the radical retrieval cue keywords and recalled the mnemonic sentence
condition for 4- ? (haven't tested mature cards)
Try out the finished ones(red and blue) and comment. http://www.fileden.com/files/2012/8/25/ … 20book.zip

Your explanation isn't that clear... I had to download the zip file to understand what you were talking about. I suggest you to put an image on top of first post, 'cause I'm afraid that if you don't get the attention of enough people, you won't be able to receive any kind of help for this seriously awesome idea.
