Hi Everyone!
I found the CorePlus Deck on the Anki Shared Decks and it seems to be pretty complete. I think am going to start by blasting through all the CORE cards since I think I've already done a few hundred of them.
My question is what is the best way to set the cards up for learning? The default set up seems to be show the word in question with the audio on the front then on the answer page give all the extra details. I was thinking I would have the sentence with the audio on the front and all the extra details on the back. Is this the best method for learning? Also I've heard something about cloze/delete, but I didn't understand exactly what it was. Is there anyway to turn this on or include it with the cards?
I think it may be useful to have blank cards with just the audio sometimes also, is it possible to have these randomly dispersed throughout the deck?
Sorry for the terribly nooby questions, I've had Anki for years, but have only ever used it for RTK and never messed around with any of the settings.
Any help would be great thank you.

Really, it depends on what you want to test for. I would normally put the sentence in kanji on the front, and its reading on the back. Since the audio gives away the reading, it would go on the back as well, along with everything else. Test for reading/meaning.
If you want to practice listening, put audio on front. If you want to mix both in your deck, you can use multiple models. I'd elaborate but I haven't used it much.
Cloze deletion refers to leaving blanks on the question side, to then display the whole thing on the answer side. You test for whether you are able to fill in the blanks. Simple. To use, select text in the card editor and hit F9. To cloze multiple sections, enclose them with brackets [] and hit F9. Some people like to use this for grammar or production cards.
