Lost and Found Project - photographs swept away by the tsunami

I thought users here might be interested to hear about this, an exhibition of photographs that were salvaged in the aftermath of the 2011 tsunami. Here's the website for the project:

In some ways makes me feel a little uncomfortable to see them, because I worry if it's intrusive, but I do find it very moving, and hearing that people wanted to preserve the images, and that they worked so hard to return them to their original owners.
I hope it isn't too upsetting for anyone here, I recall following the news of the disaster with people here, many of whom were in Japan at the time.

it's beautiful, thankyou for sharing... i wish i could see the whole thing.

the way some of the photos have been rendered more beautiful and interesting than they might have been to start with is powerful...
