I'm in Pittsburgh, and the going rate for tutors is $40/hour, which is a bit too much for me. However, some of them are open to having two or more people split the cost, bringing it down to a much more reasonable $20/hour for two people. I was wondering if anyone was interested in splitting the cost of a weekly session with me. I live in the East End, but could discuss meeting elsewhere for tutoring.
I have finished RTK, and am about a third through Core 6k. I've been using Textfugu for my grammar to date, though I'm only halfway through and haven't gotten a lot of practice on it. My goals for tutoring sessions are to get practice with listening and speaking; I don't have any particular goals for tutoring for grammar or vocabulary, though I'm open to suggestions on these fronts. I'll probably continue my solo grammar and vocabulary studies, in addition to whatever is discussed with the tutor.
