Many more girls than I expected.

haha I do this. Even if it's a feminine avatar, I asume it's a guy's girlfriend, a guy with a girly avatar, or a guy pretending to be a girl. I can sometimes tell by how ppl type though.

Sex ratios in language classes are funny. I've heard like French is normally heavily weighted towards girls, and German towards guys xD

I was a lurker for a good while before posting and becoming active o_o

I like to see how people are like for a while before getting myself involved in the mix. Maybe other girls are doing the same thing? Lol xD

In all 3 of my Japanese classes so far, it's more girls than guys. It's evened out a bit for Japanese 103 (partly cuz the class is 7-9pm! :O )

I'd be surprised if people thought I was a guy, but I have had that happen before.

I think it'd be interesting to look at active posters, too.

I'm kind of amused/surprised because the other forums I frequent are much more female-heavy, haha.

I'm surprised by the number of females. I was using the internet back when "there are no girls on the internet".

My theory of girls lurking in koohii is starting to add up o_0

I know this other forum I used to frequent for myspace and xanga layouts was girl dominated. But that was way back in the day when those 2 websites were powerhouses.

There never was such a time. Ask people such as Fran Allen. And if you don't know who she is, you've not been around the Internet very long at all.

Wow, back when I took language classes, they were always heavily skewed toward guys, especially those majoring in Computer Science or Information Systems...I guess these things vary from place to place.

The ones I frequent most are veterinary students, who are primarily female in origin. The grad student forums I frequent are more balanced.

I'm a lurker by nature, though I love all the advice here (and now I'm a M.O.D., which means even more lurking).

I'm around, here and there. Smile after noticing that a lot of the favorited stories were pretty male centred horniness Tongue (I'm not saying it's a bad thing, most of those stories were pretty good practically though--they really do stick)..I just wondered where all the girls were too... I had a theory that girls go the more traditional route... and maybe explore less of the non-conventional methods. Well, who knows. I'm asian so maybe I speak for asians, I dunno.
