How big is your deck?

The title is just one letter away from being something much more eye provoking. No one respond with numbers ranging from 5~15. lol

One of my favorite games (stolen from Christopher Hitchens and friends), is trying to come up with lines of work that sound like 'cock sucker.'

For example, wine corks need to be soaked in water for a bit to loosen them up so they can fit into the top of the bottle. The person who soaks them? He's a cork soaker.

Well you still need to do a kakitori deck if you want to be able to write actual words. I converted my rtk deck to kakitori as I went along

I had no idea what kakitori was so I Googled it and got this result: http://www.play-asia.com/paOS-13-71-12f-...-2c9x.html

Were you talking about this NDS video game by any chance? If so, how do you rate it as a Japanese learning game/tool? I have an NDS myself and considering getting educational games in Japanese.

Perhaps people are embarrassed of their deck size Wink. Nah JK.

My deck is currently a vocab + sentence deck containing 7300 mature and 350 young cards. I didn't do any of the core series so my sentences are from whatever I read / watch etc.

I like big decks and I cannot lie.

EDIT: My vocab deck w/ sentences has about 2700 cards to date, all pulled from various native sources. Almost 2,000 cards seen since May, 1,254 of which are mature.

Why do internet threads always devolve into deck comparing contests? Tongue

I've got two vocab decks which combined total ~17,700 at the moment. I think from memory mezbup and ta12121 had the largest decks. And yes, it is addicting watching your deck grow larger every day. Tongue

My vocabulary deck isn't as big as it used to but that's because I deleted it and reformatted it. Now that I'm 1 year into my new vocabulary deck (well really close to 1 year). It isn't anything special but after I'm done studying for JLPT Level 1 (I'll stop adding 30 new cards and go down to 20 or less even).

Things have changed for me, my mind isn't on how large my decks are but how well I can speak and formulate my words (the way I speak, how I speak and increasing my active vocabulary since my passive vocabulary is pretty much set right now).

Focus is on speaking, translation, better jobs(both JPN related and non-JPN related). Finish last year of school, get JLPT 1 and visit Japan at the end of 2013 and will most likely work in Japan the following year.

My biggest deck, JLPT, is just over 6000. I know it might not be very big, but don't judge me too harshly, I'm a girl Tongue

I have more than one deck Tongue. It's just that they're detachable.
CorePlus: 25229 (17575 unseen)
Minna: 6759 (all seen, only 17 are not mature)
Sentences: 16687 (10500 unseen)
Basic Kanji Book: 4485 (all seen, only 30 are not mature)
new Kanji deck: 2100 (1400 unseen)

Plus a few various other decks but I don't focus on them as much so it doesn't count Tongue.

Lmao It's not the size that counts. It's how you use it.

My largest deck is 6000 (Core6k), but honestly I don't really use it. I just play with it occasionally.

I have a self made sentence deck with 1236 items, of which 130 have Japanese definitions. I'm glad I didn't do core10k, because there is nothing more satisfying than having completed a large "definition branch". Big Grin

I also decided to take up German again, and have a German deck with 23 cards. I don't need to add as much cards in that deck, because I can understand a lot even though I barely touched it since the spring of 2010...
