I'm assuming that they're still down. Hopefully they'll come back...

You could locate the streams and record through VLC or you could just make a screen recording at full frame rate.

I believe it's Animax that has a Nicktoons block. Everyone should see Spongebob in Japanese at least once.

Yeah it is Animax that airs it, twice a day (repeated) and then on Saturday.

http://www.fengyunzhibo.com/space/japan.htm has been down for hours now it seems :/

Edit: The site is back up now but streams are appearing black for me. 5000 people are viewing TBS though and I can't see those people only looking at a black screen, so idk what's up...

Same here. I get a black screen with any of the streams (on my laptop anyway, haven't checked my desktop yet).
They removed the loading screen for the streams, so perhaps they changed some other code.
Can anyone else confirm the situation?

Yes, same here, I can't load any channel now, tried on desktop and laptop.

It's working on my desktop, but now the information from my laptop is invalid, so I can't say if it's back up for everyone...

Amazingly, it's actually working on my desktop, which it previously refused to work on. Not sure if it's from all the crap I cleaned up from Firefox and Adobe Flash poor update capabilities or because they changed something.

While it's 'working', the streams keep freezing. Also, the loading screen is still there, so the problem comes before the stream loads, if anyone's still having problems.
They also seem to have added another channel back.

I guess they're having server issues or connection issues.

Edit: Found the guide.

How to catch the stream with VLC and record it? Star 3 is incredibly good. I had been looking for such a streaming portal for a long time, but wonder where to find other ressources offering the same in case the server will be down temporarily/forever Confused

I also expected the streams to be encrypted (NDS/Cryptoworks) requiring a smartcard to decipher, but seemingly the Chinese are tunneling it? Does anyone have any details?

So... how do you get the streams? Or could you point me to the guide, please?

Also, is anyone else having difficulty with the streams pausing or freezing? It's almost impossible to watch anything when it stops every couple seconds. And yes, I have decent internet, so it shouldn't be that.

@sholum: Nah, just found the programm guide to know what movie is up running Big Grin

Tried to paste the link into VLC, however, it seemingly not comprehendible to it and nothing happens.. I wonder what type of player this is. Unfortunately I don't understand a word of Chinese.

I saw 下載 which I think might mean "download" or so and also 风云直播, which is the website offering the streams. About the rest, I don't know Sad

Can't make much sense out of the binary file when opening it with Editor.

What browser are you using? I had issues with Safari freezing every couple minutes (sometimes more) but Chrome runs everything smooth as can be.

On Win7 Firefox (newest version) and newest version of Adobe's FlashPlayer. Works like a charm.

Some of the good channels are back, but not all of them. Sad

Looks like http://www.fengyunzhibo.com/space/japan.htm is gone for good. It just redirects to the main page.

Anyone know of other ways to stream?

Japanese channels still seem to be available from: http://www.fengyunzhibo.com/channel-list (try searching "TBS")

Edit: Also try refreshing the space/japan.htm link a few times. I noticed earlier it was re-directing me to the main page, but after a few refreshes, it started loading the Japan page again. Same just happened to me about a minute ago as well.

Also bookmarks to the channel itself work fine too; I have a few channels bookmarked on my HTPC that I just click

If you want to avoid refreshing, the new URL to the Japanese channels is:
http://www.fengyunzhibo.com/space/japan.htm?from=index

If you ever have trouble finding the channels you can always go to the general channel list (The second tab on the top)
http://www.fengyunzhibo.com/channel-list then search for NHK, from there begins the Japanese channels
