program that stream live TV?

Has anyone suceed in using NIJI with wine under linux ?
The software starts, but login always fail with the following error message:"uuid失効しました"
I can log in with the credential on the web site (http://www.appnnn.com/center/gocenter.action), so they look ok, still on the application login menu, it fail.

It looks similar to this post:

Any idea ?

Yep (Ubuntu x64 14.04 Wine 1.7.26), on a clean install you should install wininet with Winetricks.
Also Niji probably would not work even if you solved your uuid issue due to this:

Hi! For Niji, I was glad to finally found the solution to make it work again..

So here you go :
1.First install BETV, it's kind of the same program as NIJI but for chinese channels ( search on google "BETV china" because others foreign programs have the same name )
Then go in the folder where BETV is installed
2.Copy the following files : ppp.conf, ppp_codec.exe and ppp_release.exe
3.Past them where you have your NIJI installed. (Past new by erase old files)
4.Launch NIJI
http://www.d-addicts.com/forum/viewtopic_73546_700.htm

After replacing that P2P streaming program, Niji started working again on Ubuntu.

Hey thanks Clockwise (ou devrais je dire merci ? :-) ) those were usefull tips.

I have the same distribution and architecture, so it should work (there s one difference though: it s not a fresh install, this has been originally a 11.something, upgraded to a 12.04 and then to a 14.04).

I was able to log in (it now shows いらっしゃいませ) and as mentionned, no download worked.

So i installed BETV china and copied the file.
Here they are with their md5sum similar now:

melmoth@x220:~/.wine/drive_c/Program Files (x86)$ find . |grep ppp | xargs md5sum
e7e902be434643194a32c28047e75843 ./niji/ppp.conf
2913ef31938e9db96694abd7cadcc6de ./niji/ppp_release.exe
63cacbfea9b5725a383d3b083bd55c64 ./niji/ppp_release.exe_bak
49e5cde38001a68b2d42da1b4c252ecf ./niji/ppp_codec.exe
e7e902be434643194a32c28047e75843 ./BETV/ppp.conf
2913ef31938e9db96694abd7cadcc6de ./BETV/ppp_release.exe
49e5cde38001a68b2d42da1b4c252ecf ./BETV/ppp_codec.exe

Still, when i try to watch a channel, it "does not work".
Most of the time the whole app freeze, and once, i saw some download speed metrics...

Are the ppp.* file on your box generating the same md5sum ?
When it works, are all the channel always working ? If not, wich one is a good one for test purpose (on 24/7) ?

I've got the same md5 for the ppp* files.

Channels work most of the time, even things like Yomiuri TV.

That's encouraging that you saw some metrics. Usually channels start after you click on them but sometimes the underlying P2P software gets stuck (actually it's not stuck but more like bad programming...), hence the freezes. Freezes are normal when starting or changing channels if they don't take forever to go away.

It is very important to kill any remaining PPP processes in case Niji gets stuck or stops working.

So I've been havin troubles playing Niji channels. That solution involving BETV will help?

Not working for me either.

Not working, giving this error:
ストリーミングメディアサーバーの初期化が失敗しました: -1

It gives one more when you first try to connect to a stream, but I'm not going to try and replicate it, since it drops off too quickly, replaced by the one above... Basically says that it can't currently connect to <channel name>.

My guess is that it's either down for maintenance or legal reasons. Has anyone checked the site or anything?

Niji is working for me in Ubuntu 14.04 but the video is flickering. I've messed around with a lot of the settings in Compiz but it is still not working. I'll probably ask someone on ask ubuntu here soon or something.

Since NTKTV is already closed, does anyone know which software that's liable to watch Japanese TV (especially NTV if able) for free beside Keyhole??

NIJI streams aren't working for me anymore. Any new streaming methods pop up?

I'm too lazy to see if this is already posted but with kodi (formerly XMBC) you can watch Japanese tv channels eg.

So I followed all of this and installed all the Japanese add-ons, but I don't see any way to watch Japanese TV with it. Not sure what I'm missing.

Thanks for the link! Are there any general Japanese TV channels (A.K.A something like TBS, NTV, Fuji TV, NHK, etc) in that list of plugins? From the video I just see Crunchyroll, some game streaming channels, and more ambiguous-looking ones like "DMM" and "Japanese TV icon".

Does Niji work for you guys at the moment? The error it gives me (with a valid N+ store account login) is "network error" (in katakana).

I haven't tried using it in a while, because all the station options were giving me Chinese television.

Unfortunately I'm not sure yet. I'm really new to kodi and still trying to figure everything out myself :p

-Navi-x has a bunch of poor quality (bitrate channels) from many non-english countries so wouldn't be surprised if they had some live japanese channelks too

There is this too https://superrepo.org/kodi/addon/repository.japanese/

Let me know if you find anything! I'll try to figure this out once I can get the rest of kodi set properly!

Found a new streaming program...has over 30 channels. Not sure how good it is yet, just installed it today. It's working great right now...it didn't work very well when it was prime time in Japan though. When you switch to a new channel, be patient, give it a minute or so, for the buffering to stop:

Easy to use, just read the instructions file.

The program itself didn't work for me at at all, but the site it pulls from just has links that seem to work fine without much buffering. http://mokodojo.net/ / More luck with Server 2 so far.

This is awesome. Stansfield thanks for finding it, and Roketzu thanks for pulling the site. Hopefully it stays around, as I think I watch more Japanese when it's live steams like this than if I have to download something. At least in the background to occasionally switch to.

If anyone's into baseball, the Yankees game starts in an hour, on J-Sports 3. It's Tanaka Masahiro vs. Verlander.

edit: never mind, it's been cancelled. Apparently, it's snowing in Detroit.
