Tips for making SRS decks from Tatoeba

#1
Have you made SRS decks from Tatoeba sentences? It's easy to download the sentences but I was wondering what's the most efficient way to get the audio down.

I downloaded a few good Tatoeba decks from Anki which I like, so I would like to use more if possible.

Any advice gratefully received, thanks!

I don't have a solution for you regarding the audio but I can suggest that you instead use the Tatoeba Anki plugin. It will display example sentences from the website so no need to make multiple sentence cards for 1 word. You just need to input the vocab and the plugin will do the rest.

Is there audio within the actual app? If it is, you might be able to open the app (.IPA file extension) using Winrar on your computer and extract the audio that way. I have an app called JLPT 6000 that required me to download sentences in packs, so the audio is stored within a separate folder located directly on my iPhone. I was able to get them out with iFunbox: http://www.i-funbox.com/

If there is no audio, you could use this. My professor (Japanese) recommended it and said that intonation is perfect. She said she sometimes has to use it for foreign names and had to use it for mine. Just Google up some audio capture tools if it interests you.

Thanks for the replies and suggestions so far! I will look into the plugin etc.

At least I can "save as..." for the audio and it has the same ID number as the sentence so I can find it.

There is a French deck and a Norwegian one in the Anki public decks section so somebody has got along with this process. Maybe they are just patient.
