Core series vs JLPT vocab?

I am 75% through my RTK1, I think it is time for me to start vocabulary, which deck should I learn, the core series (2000, 6000 then 10000 words) or JLPT vocabularies (8500 words)

I ultimate goal is to pass JLPT N1 and Kanken level 2

I can't find the 10000 deck? Why not just do both?

Isn't Kanji Odyssey better choice for beggining than Core?

For the most part they're the same words anyway, just in a different order. Core2k has sentences and audio though, so I'd go with that.
