If I stop learning new Kanji for a bit, but keep doing my reps, will it effect my learning at all?

At least learn 1 a day. Surely you could learn one before you go to bed. If you stop learning Kanji for a bit, you might make it a habit that may become hard to break. Even the best of intentions might not prevent this from happening. If you have personal reasons or extreme time constraints that prevent you from truly being able to acquire new Kanji, than that's understandable. So look as your doing your reps, you should be all right.

Does pose the risk of losing motivation, may not seem significant now.. but if you lose your routine and take too long getting back into it, it could be quite damaging. But I suppose if you review daily the ones you've learned so far won't leave you.

Firstly, you mean to use "affect" not effect. Sorry, I'm a grammar nazi.
Anyway these guys are right. If I could do RTK again I would definitely work out a routine to stick by. I just learned in chunks whenever I felt like it, and you don't feel like it as much towards the end... Like the other one said, even 1 a day is something.
And of course, never (ever) stop reviewing due cards. If you don't do your reviews every day, all your loved ones will develop malignant cancer. You don't want that now do you...

Take a real break now and then, at least one day of the week with no study and no reps at all.

I went on vacation once after having done 500 kanji. When I was there, I did all the necessary reviews, but I didn't add any new ones. I felt that it actually reinforced the knowledge of the kanji I have learned. Also, I actually helped with all those kanji I struggled with as well.

忙しく立ち働いて暇はないとしても、がんばっていったほうがいいでしょう。

Break means a full break from study - a day where you dont even think about it and relax. It makes you study 2 times faster the next day.
