App for Keeping Track of Books Read in Japanese

#1
I found this iPhone/iPod Touch app last fall and have been using it to keep track of the books I've read in Japanese. It's called 読書の定義 and it kind of keeps you motivated if you're interested in reading books in Japanese. It tells you not only the number of books you've read but also keeps track of the total page count of everything you've read. So far I've read 10 books and 2,479 pages. It also ranks you with other users by the amount you're reading each month.

This is the link: http://www.google.com/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=&...JDlvZmgKEA

Here's what I've read so far by the way (since last summer):

デュラララ 成田良悟
キノの旅II 時雨沢恵一
成功のコンセプト 三木谷浩史
きまぐれロボット 星新一
おのぞみの結末 星新一
敬語のルール 山岸宏子
少年H(下巻)妹尾河童
キノの旅I 時雨沢恵一
少年H(上巻)
乳と母 川上美恵子

Right now I'm reading:
下町ロケット 池井戸潤
5日間でうかる!日商簿記
羅生門・鼻・芋粥 芥川龍之介

Anyways, have fun!

I knew about the site but not about the app.

Though its strange that your App username is not connected to the website one...

Spreadsheet takes way more effort than scan my book barcode and input how many pages I've read.

Does dokusho meter have an app? Because for a while I thought they were the same.

They're so similar it should be illegal if the same people didn't make it.

how can the App scan when most of books these days are in electronic form? I haven't read a paper novel since 2010.

Most books are not in electronic form. Especially in Japan. Most people haven't made the switch to digital books. And of those a good chunk don't want to.

So you want to use an App to track how many paper books you read? oh the irony.

Why not just use paper to track paper books, if you ain't into digital things?

I'm actually into digital things.
The reason I don't use paper to track paper things is because I love the sweet false irony of the situation.
