It's been about a year since I started and I now have less than 900 kanji left. I guess I've been going really slow compared to most people, but at least I'm still making progress. Hopefully by this time next year I'll be done. (Well, hopefully a lot sooner than that!)

1,103... what a sweet, sweet number!
And thanks to good 'ol Mr. Spock, I make it through the person primitive without killing anything, or anybody!

Just passed 1012 a couple hours ago, what a rush!! This is my third time trying to get through this book, first time I got into a slump around 200, second time I conked out around 500. Now I'm here and no signs of slowing down.
Wish me luck on the downhill!!!

Funny, this is almost EXACTLY what happened to me. It feels good to be halfway there, but there just seems like such a large mountain ahead of me. Oh well.

(Almost) Half way! I was planning to reach that point by the end of December, but these super long lessons were really a pain in the ass. Glad that most of them are behind me.
45 days
1000 kanji
87% correct answers in Anki (young cards, it was 91% at 500, but I guess slightly lowered accuracy is normal with so many cards to remember), 97% correct for mature.

Today, I have learned my 1000th (千) Kanji. 4 digits. Half(半)-way (yes, I learned that Kanji elsewhere than RTK). The peak of the mountain (峠). I show my practice sheets to my family and their jaw drop onto the floor. Knowing so many makes me feel awesome.
But, as I did when I reached 500, I wish to review the Kanji I have learned, so that they do not flood out of my memory. So I'm gonna stay at the peak of the mountain for a week. Looking forward to running downhill!

I'll call myself half-way now. I have 1115 cards total, as I'm doing RTK1 along with the Supplement together at once.
I actually reached 1115 last week, but have been taking time to solidify, do reviews, and let my review workload decrease. When my "One Review" pile gets close to zero, then I'll start adding cards again. I suspect that will happen within a couple days.
Current stats (0/1/2/3/4+ reviews): 0/121/225/315/456
1 and 3/4 months in.

Hit 1026 today!!!!!!
Reading that "I finished RTK in 15 days" thread has motivated me i'm going to run through the rest of this book but not stupidly. I do 40-50 kanjis a day now that's actually low for me i'm really lazy i could do a lot more without issues remembering but laziness gets me. But not anymore!! Time to finish this!

Yush! Half-way!!!
I'll probably lessen my new cards/day...I plan to do Genki 1 along with RTK.

I'm on 1122 right now. I'll just say I'm halfway since I'm 2 Kanji away from Lesson 29. Seemed like forever to get here, little over 2 months since starting RTK.

Congrats to everyone this far. You already have the tools necessary for success in time you will finish. Just think how much better you will be because of it in the end. There are people living in Japan for over ten years that do not know this many kanji. Even native 6th graders don't know this many yet. So congrats and keep it going. You are great.

Did I screw up by not learning Kana yet? I get the feeling I should have done it first, but not sure if I should just wait until I finish RTK or do it now.

After I've been thrown back several times because of exams and a major change in my life...4 months and I've finally reached halfway...I hope the second half will be faster than that.

Ha! My first message!
finally reached half way point.
feels great! been doing this course for a month already.
I took off the 100 reviews limit only today =[
So I had like 400 reviews today which sucked, but I managed to success it eventually.
feels good...
can't wait to start studying some grammar and vocab!

this took me somewhere between 1.5-2 months, hope I can keep up the pace.
