Anki donation Run

#1
Maybe a year ago, there has been a RvTK donation run, to boost donations for this webpage. This was more then deserved and should be redone at some point.

However this time I am proposing to do a Anki donations run, since this is most likely the forum with the most anki-users on the net.

Damien has been working his butt of for the last couple of years - when you had a question or a feature proposal it usually doesn't take him more then a couple of minutes to reply. I honestly won't be surprised if programming anki is everything he does.

So to get to the point: I just threw in 10€ in the anki donations-pot. Feel free to participate Smile

I've already decided to donate once I figure out how I'm using it, and that it's what I really want. So far, I think it is... But then, I've thought that about other things before, too.

I like some of the features in the new release, might as well send in some 'appreciation'!

Done, thanks for getting this going. Now that I've got my 2042 stories I'm reviewing both on this site (mostly the newer kanji) and on Anki (starting from oldest going forward).

I donated just now too, but I am not going to post in this thread just to stroke my ego, because that's not what it's all about.

If I had more than $10 in my bank account, I'd donate right now (broke college student). Next time I get some money from the folks, it's going towards laundry and Anki Smile. Good post.

It's not too late to participate Wink (gratuitous topic bumping, sorry, I think this topic deserves that, though)

Ha! Smile Anyway I'd say posting that you donated in the thread is a good way of giving the thread maker and Damien an estimate of how much is coming from RTK forum users. Makes it a little more interesting. Also, it probably makes other people wanna jump on the bandwagon as well

Competitive philanthropy gets the job done and makes the world a better place! Much more socially responsible than competing to see what sort of obscene bonus one can extract (let's see, AIG, banking industry, etc.)

Add me to the list. I just donated $10.00

It's not much, but I figure that something is better than nothing, and I really get a lot of use out of Anki.

Bumping a great thread.
Paypal removed my limited status so I was finally able to donate!

Paypal tip: Don't logon to paypal via your company vpn connection, paypal will think your account has been compromised and will freeze/limit your account...

I just donated $15.00.
Well worth it considering what Anki has done for my Korean and Kanji studies.

I donated a Japanese GUI.
imo code donations are better than small amounts of cash.

Slightly unrelated, but I donated to khatz just now Smile

I'll be able to donate more often once I have a proper income (poor college student + menial job)
