started late with anki

#1
Ok so i've been doing RTK for about 5 days or so and I didn't know about anki when I first started, so now that I do I went ahead and installed it and imported 250 cards (currently where im at) and reviewed them all so I could go ahead and get up to speed, but now that im finished I realized "holy crap im going to have to review 250 cards in 7 days." So is there anyway I can fix this so I dont have such a rediculous workload every 7 days?

You won't have a ridiculous workload every 7 days. Assuming that you pass all of the cards 7 days from now, they will be pushed out even further than 7 days, and with each review the gap will get larger and larger. Anki also incorporates a degree of randomization to the scheduling, so that the intervals do not turn out exactly the same and create a large clump.

Just wait until the cards come back and review them. 250 in one day isn't a big deal. After that first hurdle, the load should be lighter the next time you see them again.

You can also tweak with the review settings to spread things out a bit more.

If you think 250 is a huge workload : D be let me caution you that it could be more especially if you stop one or two days.
But if you want to scatter the cards for exemple at 8days /9days or so you can use the option reschedule :Action=>Reschedule but I won't advice you to do it every time as we are using Anki to let it do this for us not to interfere with its work.
