Sticky Points

#1
Below are the frames (based on today's data) around which people tend to group up. I think these are the "sticky points" where people tend to pause on their journey.

These might be the places people are most likely to end their journey, too.

Code:
frame | rating
----------+----------
       10 |    33 ★★
       15 |    15 ★
       20 |    40 ★★●
       25 |     9 ★
       30 |    22 ★●
    34+35 |   7+6 ★
       40 |    11 ●
    50+52 | 33+10 ★★●
       60 |     8 ●
       70 |    13 ★
       80 |     8 ●
  100+104 |  54+8 ★★★★
      150 |     9 ●
  194+200 |  8+11 ★
  249+250 |     8 ●
  299+300 |   8+8 ★
      352 |    11 ●
  395+400 |  13+8 ★●
      500 |    10 ●
     1000 |    17 ★
     2000 |    11 ●
2042+2043 |  71+6 ★★★★★
     3007 |    11 ●

The evenness of the data is remarkable. Most of the sticky points seem to be on nice, round numbers, save 2042 and 3007, for obvious reasons.

It appears polishing off those first 10, 20, 50, or 100 frames and calling it good might be a significant danger to completing RTK I.

I've long suspected that a large number of users with those round numbers are merely putting in some number of flash cards to see how the site works, but are not actually studying through. If you check profiles, most of them have only a few reviews, or none at all.

We don't all use the website for renewing. I used Anki I but I did rack up reviews on here in the past, and I just do like 1 review here per month to put my frame number on the scoreboard Smile.

Yeah, I'm approaching my 10,000th review so I agree that total reviews shows if you want to use a person's data in your spread.

On another note, I'm about 100 away from finishing up the book with the initial stories. I should have that done on the week-end. However, I don't think I'll call myself "finished" until the last two stacks add upto 1900 or more. Imagine that data, the card showing how many accounts have it in each stack.

Interesting that the vast majority are 500 and below.

How do you know what number review you are approaching?

EDIT: Sorry to be off topic...

I would have expected more around 500. That's when I felt like quitting. It was a huge shock to not be given the stories anymore.
