I was watching a random episode of NHKにようこそ！when I understood a line that I've been thinking a lot about lately:
”佐藤くん！ゲームはやるもんじゃなくて、作るもんだよ！”
I think it's stuck with me because it represents a huge theme of participation in the series--佐藤 became a hikikomori because he kind of bought into the ideas someone else told him about conspiracies, and he trapped himself in worlds that other people had made for him instead of going out and creating his own. The other reason why it hit me is because, I was thinking of how I would translate this into English and just liked the way this flowed in Japanese because it's just so succinct.
