I`m just studying through Tae Kim`s Guide at the minute and I`ve just finished the Conditional section. He claims that the ば-Form, as he calls it, cannot be used with な-形容詞 or nouns. I`ve been looking at another source though and it says that you can if you add であれば.
I was just wondering if this is right or not?

Apparently...
1)Pattern ば・なら(ば) is a conditional.
Verbs and イ-adjectives take ~ば
ナ-adjectives and affirmatives of nouns take なら .
2)When ~ば verb is not verb of state (ある, いる , できる ), second clause does not include speaker's volition or requests.
3)Restriction does not apply when what precedes is conditional word, such as verbs あれば or い れば (to be), or negatives of verbs, such as 食べなければ (if you don't eat), adjectives such as 安ければ (if cheap), etc.

I think he means you can't just throw a ば at the end of an i adj or noun, であれば is ある in ば form. Both are right, であれば can be used.
