I've had a hard time finding much else than Japanese subs of the the first three episodes of Code Geass R2, so since nobody else will I'm considering buckling down and transcribing the entire two seasons myself. Of course I'll post them here first, in the likely event that I get half of the script categorically wrong, so people can suggest amendments.

You might be thinking I'm crazy to do this, but I think this is actually a Lelouch-worthy move; killing two birds with one stone. I believe in the process of doing this, I'll soak up a large amount of vocabulary while enjoying it, my grammatical skills will improve greatly, AND both I and the community get full japanese subs for CG and CGR2.

So after that lengthy blurb, my question to you is: Do you think it will help / be worth it? Taking into consideration that I'll have only have just finished RTK (~1373) when I start, and have a pretty small vocabulary as it stands (my grammar isn't so bad).

Tl;dr: Transcribing the entirety of CG to soak up a wealth of vocab and grammar, yay or nay?

Yes, it will improve your listening comprehension, vocabulary, and spoken grammar quite a bit. I suggest you make a subs2srs deck of the few episodes you have with subtitles. This will help you get used to listening to Japanese and the vocabulary/speaking style used in the show.

pretty sure those subs are timed to the TV release, not the bluray version. you'd have to do some retiming which should be quite easy though.

I'd say it's not worth it.

Transcribing is largely a matter of vocabulary.
When you hear vocabulary that is not familiar, it
becomes difficult to transcribe, especially if it's
something that is mumbled.

Trust me, I've tried to do what you're doing. Transcribing is a SLOOOOOWWWW and PAINFUL process that doesn't offer much benefit in the end.

Instead, find shows (anime or japanese TV drama) with japanese subtitles and study the subtitles. It's a great way for learning conversation, because all of is usually spoken dialogue.

When you become familiar with common vocab and phrases, listening becomes much easier.

Roughly speaking, a 45 minute jdrama episode uses 450 to 550 unique kanji on average.
When you vocab increases, your listening increases along with it. But you do need to constantly listen to native japanese to get used to the speed.

^ I completely agree with this. I tried it once... and it took hours to just correctly script what they were saying in japanese of 2 minutes of video.
